NATURAL DISASTERS – PREVENTIVE PROTECTION MEASURES
Last year alone, hail, heavy rainfall-related flooding and storms in Austria are estimated to have caused damage totalling around one billion euros. This destructive force of nature has now been recognised by the population, as a study shows (see ORF report).
Yet damage can often be avoided or at least reduced by taking preventive measures!

Flooding from surface runoff caused by heavy rainfall
Simple and cost-effective preventive measures can also be taken in advance with regard to surface water to prevent potential damage from occurring in the first place. Preventive protective measures for new and existing buildings can be seen in this video.
